Bills Still Keep Coming

I tried to replace the rotten post that the mailbox sat on, but saved the beloved old box. I managed to extract all but one of the rusty nails in the bottom of the mailbox. To free the last nail, I wrapped my arms around the box in a bear hug and started yanking up. Just then a truck came by and the driver stuck his head out the window. “I tried that,” he said, “but the bills still keep coming.”

我家信箱下面的木头柱子烂了。我要换掉这根柱子，但要保留钟爱的旧信箱。我把信箱底下长锈的钉子都拔了出来，还差最后一根拔不出来。我就以狗熊拥抱的姿势，把手臂环绕住信箱，开始往上拔。正在这时，一辆卡车开过，司机从窗户里伸出头来说：“这我试过，但是该来的账单还是会来的。”
