The President of Mali Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has been arrested along with his Prime Minister in a coup attempt. They've been held at a military base near the capital Bamako, where there has been recent anger of the government over army pay and the continuing conflict with Jihadists. The move has been condemned by Mali's west African neighbors and United Nations secretary of general.

The Postmaster General of the United States has said he's suspending changes to the postal service, which had led to claims that he was trying to interfere in November’s presidential election to benefit President Trump. The Democrats said the announcement does nothing to reverse the damages that 've already been done.

A senate intelligence committee in the United States has concluded that Russia intervened aggressively on behalf of Mr. Trump in the 2016 presidential election, but it didn't reach a decision on whether the Trump campaign criminally conspired with Moscow to sway the election.

The special court found Hezbollah defendant guilty but acquitted three others. Mr.Hariri 's son Saad said everybody's expectation has been higher than the outcome.
