我国发布无人驾驶汽车道路测试新规

China released a national guideline on road tests forself-driving vehicles, as part of a broader drive toaccelerate the development of the technology andgain the advantage in commercializing suchvehicles.

我国近日发布了无人驾驶汽车道路测试的全国性规范，这是我国为加速无人驾驶技术开发、在无人驾驶汽车商用上取得领先优势而推出的部分举措。

The guideline, which was jointly issued by theMinistry of Industry and Information Technology, theMinistry of Public Security and the Ministry ofTransport, allows local authorities to evaluate local conditions and arrange road tests forautonomous vehicles.

根据这份由工业和信息化部、公安部、交通运输部联合发布的规范，允许地方政府评估当地条件，为无人驾驶汽车安排道路测试。

It states that the test vehicles should be passenger or commercial automobiles, not low-speedvehicles or motorcycles.

该规范指出，测试车辆应为乘用车或商用车，不可以使用低速汽车或摩托车。

According to the regulation, which will take effect on May 1, test vehicles should be able toswitch between self-driving and conventional driving to ensure the test driver can quicklytake over in case of a malfunction.

根据这份将于5月1日起实施的规范，测试车辆应能够在自动驾驶模式和传统模式之间切换，以确保测试司机可以在故障发生时快速接管车辆。

Moreover, test applicants must be independent legal entities registered in China, and have tofirst complete tests in designated closed zones before conducting road tests.

此外，考试申请人必须是在中国境内注册的独立法人，在进行路考之前必须先在指定的封闭区域完成测试。

Xin Guobin, vice-minister of industry and information technology, said: "Road testing for self-driving vehicles is a complicated project and safety should be the top priority."

工业和信息化部副部长辛国斌表示：“无人驾驶汽车的道路测试是一个复杂的项目，安全应该是重中之重。”

He added that car manufacturers should intensify their efforts in the research anddevelopment of self-driving technology, to offer more vehicles with safe and reliableperformance.

他补充称，汽车制造商应加大对无人驾驶技术研发的力度，提供更多具备安全、可靠性能的车辆。
