A chicken was caught on camera avoiding jaywalkingand instead crossing the road in the crosswalk.

日前，一只鸡被摄像头拍到在人行横道上过马路，而不是乱穿马路。

The law-abiding poultry was seen wanderingalongside a busy Oklahoma City street until she getsto the crosswalk, where she then proceeds to walkin front of the cars waiting at a traffic light.

在俄克拉荷马市的一条繁忙街道上，人们看到这只守法的家禽摇摇摆摆地走到人行横道上，然后继续走到汽车前面，等待红绿灯。

The footage was taken by a local police officer and shared on the Oklahoma City PoliceDepartment's Facebook page.

"Just because we're in the city doesn't mean that we don't have small town problems," OfficerCook said in the video.

Apparently the chicken's timing was off, though, because according to the post, Officer Cookhad to save her from oncoming traffic.

"Successfully rescued our new feathered friend! Our investigation did not reveal why thechicken crossed the road. We tried to interview the chicken, but she lawyered up," the postread.
