Cock 一字由来已久，可当名词或形容词。当名词时，指“阴茎”、“王八”等意，但在美国南方及黑人的词汇中也指女人阴部；当形容词时，有“黄色的”、“色情的”之意，如 cock books and cock magazines(黄色书刊杂志)。

Cocksucker可当名词及惊叹词。当名词时，指“畜生”、“不是玩艺儿”、“家伙”、“坏东西”、“令人烦的或冒火的东西或地方(annoying or infuriating thing or place)”，同义字有son of a bitch， fellow，rascal等；当惊叹词，是在被弄痛或受惊叫痛或动怒时用之。 Cocksucking是形容词，与goddamned，fucking(可恶的，可鄙的)同义。
