[注解]斯迈尔斯还说:“It is the idleness that is the curse of men, not labour.”祸根不是劳动,而是懒惰。

[注解]rust生锈,使弱。比喻懒惰使人笨,让人的头脑迟钝。
[译]人不勤变笨;刀不磨变钝。
