The Weather
The weather in our part of Europe seems to always be changing! We had two weeks of rainy, cold, dreary days, followed by two full weeks of perfect blue skies and sunshine. Yesterday was gray and cool - today is clear and sunny! Sometimes, the weather can change completely within one day. The morning might start out with blue skies, and by the end of the day it's raining! This part of Europe has four distinct seasons, with winter from December to March; spring from March to June; summer from June to September; and autumn from September to December. Winters here can be very cold, with a bitter wind that chills you to the bone. The mountains have plenty of snow, but we don't have as much in the city. Spring is quite rainy and still a little cool. Summer can be very hot, but usually for just a few weeks, and then we have more pleasant days. This summer, we even had some very cool, rainy weather. The autumn, especially September, is usually quite beautiful, with summer-like temperatures during the day and cool nights. I like how the weather changes, but sometimes I wish it could decide what it's going to be and stay that way for a while!
