　　相信对于每一位喜爱动物的人来说，看到电影《马利与我》（Marley & Me）的海报上那只系着红色蝴蝶结的可爱狗狗时，都会禁不住他的诱惑，情不自禁地想了解这只小狗的故事。

　　影片《马利与我》改编自美国报纸专栏作家John Grogan的原著《马利与我：和世界上头号捣蛋狗的幸福生活》。该书出版后不久，马利就以其生动、活泼、忠诚、勇敢的形象而大受读者喜爱。该书也迅速跃居美国各大畅销书排行榜榜首，后由福克斯公司买断电影版权，并于2008年搬上荧屏，由Owen Wilson与Jennifer Anison 主演。

　　John与Jenny无法忍受这个"破坏王"了，只好送马利去矫正学校。负责训练马利的是位肥胖而凶悍的女老师，她霸道地对所有的狗狗及其主人们指手划脚。

　　Teacher: Class, it's a simple question of having confidence in your own authority. I shall now demonstrate a simple walk. All right, even an unruly dog likes to obey his leader. Marley, heel. Marley, Marley, Marley, Marley ...

　　其他的狗狗都很顺从老师的要求，唯独马利丝毫不听老师的指使。愤怒的老师吹响了口哨，让人惨不忍睹的一幕发生了，强悍的女老师被马利扑倒在地并戏弄了一番，他也被恼羞成怒的老师给开除了。

　　Teacher: That dog is a bad influence on the others. He has got to go. Never bring him back.

　　John夫妇无奈地带马利离开了矫正学校，但马利依然乐颠乐颠地一点悔意也没有。这让人在捧腹大笑的同时，不得不相信马利就是只彻头彻尾难以驾驭的狗。

最感人的片段--生病的马利

　　Doctor: For now, he's good. The problem is that once this happens, it almost always happens again. And if it does, I don't know what I'm gonna be able to do for him. He's an older dog. I honestly don't think he would survive the surgery.

　　John: Well, we have to make sure that doesn't happen again.

　　Doctor: Well, most likely, it is gonna happen again.

　　John: Well, we also talked about that maybe he ate too fast or drank, you know, too quickly. And so maybe it doesn't have to happen again. We'll monitor that.

　　Doctor: I'm just saying you may wanna prepare yourself that he may not make it through the night. Maybe 10% of dogs survive this kind of thing.

　　John: What ... what is that based on?

　　Doctor: What is it based on?

　　John: Yeah, the reason why I ask is I bet that number's based on regular dogs. This guy here is not like other dogs. I know people probably say that all the time, but to be honest I'm not sure he really is a dog. He once ate an answering machine, just polished it off (飞快地吃或喝完). He didn't chew it. He ate it, and then digested it, and then went and had the phone for dessert. Another time, my son had colic (急腹痛) and this guy sat up all night, didn't move ... just stayed right there for nine hours just keeping an eye on (照看) Conor. So I think maybe that ... that the number applies to regular dogs, but not to him.

　　Doctor: Well, you got a fighter here. Let's hope for the best.

　　John: Oh, I know he's gonna be okay.

　　John: It's okay. You don't have to do anything. You don't have your usual energy. You remember how we were always saying what a pain you are-that you're the world's worst dog? Don't believe it. Don't believe any of it for a minute. Because you know we couldn't find a better dog. You know what made you such a ... great dog is you loved us every day, no matter what. That's an amazing thing. You know how much we love you? We love you so much. I love you more than anything. I don't know exactly where we go from here ... but I want you to remember you're a great dog, Marley. You're a great dog.

　　影片的最后是一支注射器缓缓将液体推进马利的身躯，不再有往日的活泼，不再有任何挣扎，疲惫的双眼渐渐闭合，就这样静静的睡去，结束了他对John一家忠诚陪伴的一生。
