Narissa: Speciosus, formosus, praeclarus! All this nauseating talk of "true love's kiss." It really does bring out the worst in me.

Robert: Stay back.

Narissa: You know, I've been thinking. If I'm going to remain queen, I'm going to need some sort of story when I go back. Hmm. What if a giant, vicious beast showed up and killed everyone? And poor, defenseless Queen Narissa, she just couldn't save them. Let's begin with the girl who started it all, shall we?

Robert: Over my dead body.

Narissa: All right. I'm flexible.

Robert: Ah! Let me go!

Narissa: Come along, Giselle. I don't want you to miss this ending.

Robert: Ah! Let me go! Ah! Put me down! You're crazy!

Narissa: No, spiteful, vindictive, very large. But never crazy. Ah!

Robert: Giselle!

Narissa: Oh, my.This is a twist on our story! It's the brave little princess coming to the rescue. I guess that makes you the damsel in distress, huh, handsome? Keep up with me, dear.It's time to take our tale to new heights! Ha…!

Edward: Pip! You'd like to finally be released......to help Giselle......to best the beast. Why didn't you say so in the first place?

Pip: Thank you.

Giselle: Narissa! I'm not going to let you take him!

Narissa: We're coming to the end of our story now. Are you at the edge of your seat, Giselle, just dying to know how it ends?

Giselle: Pip!

Narissa: How about this: "And they all lived happily ever after!" Well, at least I did.

妙语佳句，活学活用

1. It really does bring out the worst in me.

这句话的意思是：“它确实让我表现出我最恶劣的品质。”言下之意就是“它确实让我用了最卑劣的手段”。“Bring out the best/worst in somebody”是“表现出某人优秀/恶劣的品质”。比如：The family crisis really brought out the best in her.她在家庭遇到危难时，表现出她的优秀品质。

2. Over my dead body.

意思就是：“除非我死了”、“休想”。这个表达用于表示对某事物的强烈反对。例如：“I’m going out.”“Over my dead body！”“我要出去。”“除非我死了！”

3. I'm flexible.

字面意思是：“我很灵活，很好说话，可以变通。”这里“flexible”意思是“（人）能随即应变的，随遇而安的”，当然，“flexible”也可以指物，比如：flexible plastic tubing 弹性塑料管。

5. damsel in distress

意思是“受困的少女”。这是讽刺男主人公的一句话，因为这时他需要别人的救护。“Damsel”是“少女”的意思，“distress”是指“困难或危急”。

6. handsome

本意是“帅气的，英俊的”，这里作为名词，译为“帅哥”。

7. It's time to take our tale to new heights!

意识是：是时候把我们的故事发展到新高潮了！“It’s time to do something”是“到做某事的时间了”。比如：It’s time to go to school. 该上学了。

8. Are you at the edge of your seat

字面意思是：“你是不是坐在了椅子边上？”也就是说：“你是不是迫不及待地想知道下面会发生什么？”这个表达多指（某事物）让你不舍得放开，想知道结果。

童话公主 Amy Adams

Amy Lou Adams (born August 20, 1974) is an Academy Award-nominated American film and television actress.

Adams was born in Vicenza, Italy to American parents Kathryn and Richard Adams, a US serviceman stationed in Italy. She was raised as one of seven children in a Mormon family in Castle Rock, Colorado and attended Douglas County High School. While working at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater in Minnesota, she was discovered by a movie producer. Shortly after she was cast in her first comedic role in the 1999 satire Drop Dead Gorgeous.

Having appeared in the films Cruel Intentions 2 (2000), Catch Me If You Can (2002) and Talladega Nights (2006), Adams has also guest-starred in such television shows as The Office, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, The West Wing, Dr. Vegas and Smallville. She has also done small films such as Psycho Beach Party.

She received critical acclaim for her role in the 2005 film Junebug. Among the awards she has won for the role are the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, the National Society of Film Critics award for "Best Supporting Actress" and the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female. She was also nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture and, in January 2006, Adams was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the role.

In 2007, Adams appears in the fantasy film Enchanted.
