法国两大奢侈品集团禁用过瘦模特

French luxury groups LVMH and Kering have committed to stop using ultra-thin and underage models, in response to criticism of how young women are portrayed and treated in the fashion world.

法国奢侈品集团LVMH和开云(Kering)承诺停止聘用过瘦和未成年的模特,以回应时尚界刻画年轻女性形象和对待她们的方式所受到的批评。

The two luxury houses, which between them own brands including Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Gucci, together had sales of roughly €50bn in 2016. Yesterday they unveiled a joint charter on working relations with models, applicable worldwide.

这两家奢侈品集团旗下拥有路易威登(Louis Vuitton)、迪奥(Christian Dior)和古驰(Gucci)等品牌,在2016年的销售额合计达到约500亿欧元。昨日,两家集团公布了一项适用于全球、关于模特工作关系的联合章程。

They committed to working only with models who are able to present a valid medical certificate, obtained less than six months in advance of the fashion shoot or shows. They also banned the use of French measurement size 32 for women (equivalent to a UK size 4 or US size zero) from their casting, and vowed to make a dedicated psychologist or therapist available during working time.

LVMH和开云承诺,将只与能够出示有效健康证明的模特合作,这些健康证明需要在时尚拍摄或走秀前6个月以内出具。两家集团还禁止在拍摄中聘用法国尺码32号(相当于英国尺码4号或者美国尺码0号)及以下的女性模特,并承诺将在模特工作期间提供专职的心理医生或治疗师。

The charter bans models under the age of 16 from taking part in shows or shoots representing an adult and unveiled specific rules for 16 to 18-year-old models. François-Henri Pinault, chairman and chief executive of Kering, said in a statement: “We hope to inspire the entire industry to follow suit.”

这份章程还禁止雇用16岁以下的模特参与成人造型走秀或者拍摄,并公布针对16岁到18岁之间的模特的具体规则。开云集团董事长兼首席执行官弗朗索瓦-亨利•皮诺(Francois-Henri Pinault)在一份声明中表示:“我们希望鼓舞整个行业效仿。”
