As per the new legislation, from April drinks with 5g of sugar per 100ml will face a lower rate of tax, while those with more than 8g per 100ml will face a higher rate. The levy will only be applied to water-based soft drinks, while milk-based beverages and pure fruit juices are exempt.

根据新的法规，从今年4月开始，每100毫升含糖5克的饮料可以按更低的税率交税，而那些每100毫升含糖8克以上的饮料则会面临更高的税率。不过这个征税规则只对以水为基础的非酒精饮料生效，奶类饮料和纯果汁是不受影响的。
