　　1.message n. 口信

　　A: May I leave a message?

　　甲:我可以留个口信吗?

　　B: Yes, go ahead.

　　乙:请讲。

　　2.take a message 捎口信

　　A: She is not in now.May I take a message far her?

　　甲:她现在不在。我给她捎个口信好吗?

　　B: Yes, please.

　　乙:好的。

　　3.leave word for sb. 留话

　　A: Do you want to lease ward for him that you called?

　　甲:要给他留个话，说你来过电话吗?

　　B: Yes. Please have him return my call as soon as possible.

　　乙:好的。请让他尽快给我回话。

　　4.inform v. 通知

　　A: I've got to get some paper. ...OK.

　　甲:我得去拿张纸。……好了。

　　B: Please inform her we'll start at 2 this afternoon.

　　乙:请告诉她我们今天下午2点钟开始。

　　5.contact v. 联系

　　A: What is it?

　　甲:什么口信?

　　B: Please tell him to contact me at 379-1967.

　　乙:请让他拨3791.967找我。

　　6.reach v. 找得到

　　A: She is gone for the rest of the day, and I don' t think we will be able to reach her.

　　甲:今天她不会回来了，而且我认为今天我们也找不到她。

　　B: I see. I'll call back tomorrow.

　　乙:明白了。我会明天再打电话联系。
