1.chill应该解释为 寒冷；寒心；寒意等比较让人从心眼里感觉比较不温暖。仅仅这个单词是这么理解但是要是和别的单词一组合那就不是这么让人感觉寒心了。
例如，just与chill组合的意思可以理解为放轻松点，不着急！下面举例说明：
Helen : Just chill out. We've got plenty of time.

崔佛：冷静点，兄弟！嘿，小薇，再喝一杯吧。
2.Somebody left the water running ，在这个句子中有一个大家经常见到的语法。那就是
sb. leave sth doing 可以理解为某人使某物处于xxx状态。
Somebody left the water running就可以解释为有人使水龙头处于开着的状态，那么也就是有人忘记了关水龙头。
跟leave 有关的用法还有很多，例如：leave sb doing sth让某人一直做某事，宾语与宾补之间是逻辑上的主动关系，表进行。
it is wrong of you to leave the machine running.
leave sth to be done留下某事要做，不定式表将来。
We hurriedly ended our meeting,leaving many problems to be settled.
3.Take it easy 和上面的just chill 意思很相似 都表示从容；不急。但是take it easy 还可以理解为轻点，小心点。
A: Take it easy. Don’t work so hard.

A: Kick back, make yourself at home.

放松 kick back:
I really need to kick back during the holiday season. 我假期时真的需要好好放松一下.
