　　Teacher： Rehabilitation is the process whereby a disabled person is assisted to regain and use his physical， mental， social and vocational potential as far as the disability permits. He is directed to establish a pattern of life that provides a sense of worth， independence and satisfaction.

　　S：Will you tell me the professional members who makeu the team concerned with rehabilitation work?

　　T： They are the physician， nurse and physiotherapist. And speech therapist， psychologist， social worker， vocational counselor， educator， employment officer and recreational director may be concerned with the team work.

　　S： Is the work very important?

　　T： Yes， inded. In recent years there has been increasing recognition of the potential of disabled persons. Many of themcan become self-reliant， employed and take their rightful place in society.

　　S： How to classify the handicapped?

　　T： Handicapped persons are classified according to the nature of their disability. Those whose mobility is restricted may be referre to physically handicapped. The mentally handicapped are those who have had mental illness and had a sequela. The visually handicapped are those with partial or total loss of vision and those with auditory handicaps have a partial or total loss of hearing.

　　学生：康复的意义是什么?

　　老师：康复是指帮助残疾人在自身条件允许范围内重建生理功能，恢复智力和社交工作能力的过程。经过指导使残疾人重新建立自己满意的具有独立性和价值感的生活方式。

　　学生：请告诉我康复保健队是由哪些专业人员组成的好吗?

　　老师：由医生、护士和物理治疗医生组成。但是语言医生、心理医生、社会工作人员、职业介绍所官员和娱乐指导人员都可能参与保健队工作。

　　学生：这项工作非常重要吗?

　　老师：非常重要。近年来，人们越来越认识到残疾人的潜力。他们中许多人可以自理生活，找到职业并在社会中取得合法地位。

　　学生：如何给残疾人分类?

　　老师：我们根据残疾人伤残的性质来分类。身体活动受到限制的是身残。脑障碍者是指患过脑病和留有后遗症的人。全部或部分丧失视力者为视力障碍者。听力障碍者是指全部或部分丧失听力的人。
