  1.aggression: (名)侵略the first step in an attack or a quarrel

  We need a self-defense posture to defer the possible aggression.

  我们必须要有自御条件防御可能的侵略。

  2.agitate: (1)(动)扰乱.excite; move violently

  We thought that the bad news would upset Tom, but it didn’t seem to agitate him.

  我们认为这个坏消息会困扰汤姆,但它似乎并没有扰乱到他。

  (2)(动)摇摆.move or shake vigorously

  The slightest wind agitates the leaves of the trees.

  极轻的风使树上的叶子摆动起来。

  3.architect: (名)建筑师builder; planner; constructor

  We employed an architect to design our summer house.

  我们请了建筑师来设计我们的夏季小屋。

  4.bond: (1).(名)结合anything that joins or keeps together

  There is a close bond of affection between the two sisters.

  在这姐妹之间有很深的感情。

  (2)(名)合同;契约.a written agreement or promise, usually about money

  He is so honest that his spoken promise is as good as a bond.

  他非常诚实,所以口头应允也如同契约般可信。

  5.dominate:(动)支配 control, govern, or rule; have authority or influence over

  The chairman’s strong will dominated the committee, which did what he wanted without arguing.

  主席坚强的意志支配着此委员会,使其做优秀任何他想做的而无争议。

  6.integrate: (动)合而为一bring together to form a whole

  He integrated ideas from several philosophers into his own philosophy.

  他把数位哲学家的哲学和他自己的哲学合而为一。

  7.publicity:(名)出风头 the state or fact of being known to the public

  His rescue of the child from the burning house brought him much publicity.

  他从火场救出小孩子的义举使他大出风头。

  8.rely:(动)信赖;依赖 trust; confide in; depend on

  Send the boy to the bank for money; we can rely on him.

  让这个男孩去银行提钱,我们能信赖他。

  9.retract: (1)(动)缩回.draw in; draw back

  A cat can retract its claws, but a dog cannot.

  猫可以缩回它的爪子,但是狗不能

  。

  (2)(动)收回(声明、承诺).take back; withdraw

  You can depend on Frank. Once he has given his promise, he will not retract it.

  你可以信任法兰克,一旦他已立下承诺,就不会再收回。

  10.unify: (动)使统一make into one

  We should make every effort to unify China.

  我们应该尽全力使中国统一。

  11.frivolous: (1)(形)愚蠢的;可笑的.silly or amusing, especially when such behavior is not suitable

  Sorry, I was being frivolous.

  对不起,我失态了。

  (2)(形)无聊的;不严肃的.having no useful or serious purpose

  We killed our time by those frivolous pastimes.

  我们通过无聊的消遣打发时间表。

  12.divulge: (动)泄漏;透露(秘密)to give somebody information that is supposed to be secret; reveal

  Police refused to divulge the identity of the suspect.

  警方拒绝透露嫌疑犯的身份。
