A: You have probably been advised that about 30% of the 200 cases of canned pears were found damaged. Have your people discovered the exact causes?

B: I am sorry to say it was not in route. Here is the certificate issued by the Boston Health Office. And closer inspection revealed that tin cans were evidently broken through careless handling while being loaded onto the ship in Guangdong. As I have said before, the whole business is most unfortunate.
