give somebody a f air shake 直译过来就是“给某人一个公平的摇晃”，这个短语的真正意思是：“对……一视同仁”。因此当美国人说:"I just want them to give you a fairshake."时，他要表达的意思就是："I just want them totreat everyone equally."、"I just wish you weretreated on equal terms with others."。
