Let's find a happy medium.
我们找一个折中的方法吧。
happy medium中的medium在英语里有“中间、中道”的意思，所以这个习语的字面意思就是：“幸福中道”，这刚好就是孔子所提倡的中庸之道，但是这个习语也可表示：“折中的办法”。因此，当美国人说"Let's find a happy medium."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"Let us both compromise to solve this problem."、"Let's think out an eclectic method."。

Shirley: I can't agree with you. Your idea is far from mature.
