No bones about it. 这个俚语至少可以追溯到1548年，一种猜测认为跟古代骰子游戏有关，形容玩者掷骰子的时候不会玩“对天祷告”或“和骰子说话”之类的小把戏，而是直截了当地拿起骰子一丢，这就是今天这个俚语意义的来源，即：“毫无疑问，实话实说，直截了当”。因此，当美国人说"no bones about it."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"To be honest."、"Frankly speaking."。
