[00:00.01]And my character would come out at the same time, and it wasn't to make a political statement, 同时也要将我真实的个性展示出来，不是为了政治， [00:03.04]it wasn't to do anything other than to free myself up from this heaviness that I was carrying around, 也不是为了其它原因，只是要把我从背负已久的沉重的枷锁中解脱出来。 [00:07.28]and I just wanted to be honest. And I thought, "What's the worst that could happen? I can lose my career". I did. 我只是想要诚实。我想不会有更惨的事情了。失去演绎事业吗？ [00:14.27]I lost my career. The show was cancelled after six years, without even telling me, I read it in the paper. 结果我真的失去了我的演艺事业。我的节目在做了六年后，没有告诉我就停播了。我是看了报纸才知道的。 [00:21.55]The phone didn't ring for three years. I had no offers. Nobody wanted to touch me at all. 家里的电话三年没有响过，没人想让我做节目。没人愿意碰我。 [00:29.43]Yet, I was getting letters from kids that almost committed suicide, but didn't, because of what I did. And I realised that I had a purpose. 然而我接到了想要自杀的孩子的来信，他们因为我所做的而没有自杀。 [00:40.08]And it wasn't just about me and it wasn't about celebrity, but I felt like I was being punished... 我才知道我活在世上是有目的的，不仅是因为我，不仅仅是因为我是名人，我感觉我是在受惩罚。 [00:44.34]it was a bad time, I was angry, I was sad, and then I was offered a talkshow. 那段时间很艰难，我很愤怒，也很难过，接着有人找我做脱口秀节目。 [00:50.10]And the people that offered me the talkshow tried to sell it. 制作单位努力想要卖出节目，但大多数的电视台都不想要。 [00:53.19]And most stations didn't want to pick it up. Most people didn't want to buy it because they thought nobody would watch me. 大多数人都不想要，因为他们认为没人想看我的节目。 [00:58.22]Really when I look back on it, I wouldn't change a thing. 当我回首这些往事的时候，我一点也不会改变。 [01:04.06]I mean, it was so important for me to lose everything because I found out what the most important thing is, is to be true to yourself. 因为我发现，即使失去一切，最重要的是做真正的自己。 [01:12.42]Ultimately, that's what's gotten me to this place. 最终，我来到了这里 [01:15.45]I don't live in fear, I'm free, I have no secrets. and I know I'll always be ok, because no matter what, I know who I am. 。我不再恐惧，我感觉很自在，也不再有秘密，而且我知道一切都会很好的，因为无论如何，我知道我是谁。 [01:23.04]So In conclusion, when I was younger I thought success was something different. 所以这还不是结论的结论，我年轻时，对成功有着不同的定义， [01:28.58]I thought when I grow up, I want to be famous. I want to be a star. I want to be in movies. 我的志向是长大后，我要出名，我要成为明星，我想拍电影。 [01:33.49]When I grow up I want to see the world, drive nice cars, I want to have groupies. 我是愿望是长大幻世界要周游全世界、开名车。有一批流行乐团歌迷，引用“小野猫”这个组合。 [01:37.44]To quote the Pussycat Dolls. How many people thought it was "boobies", by the way? It's not, it's "groupies". 有多少人听成是“傻瓜”？并不是“流行乐团歌迷”。 [01:43.33]But my idea of success is different today. And as you grow, you'll realise the definition of success changes. 但今天我对成功的定义变了。你们长大后就会明白，对成功的定义是会改变的。
