证书是求职的必需品。

Certificates are beneficial to us to gain an edge over other applicants (求职者) in the job market. With the amount of college graduates growing faster and faster, the employment pressure for us will be harder and harder. Therefore, having a series of certificates will make us outstanding(杰出的，突出的) in the eyes of employers.

在求职时，证书能为我们“加分”。随着大学毕业生数量的快速增长，就业压力也越来越大。因此，一本本的证书能让我们在求职时脱颖而出。

As a college student, obtaining a certificate can make our college life efficient. At the same time, those skills can be advantages for us to compete with others.

作为大学生，考证也能让我们的大学生活更有意义。同时，当与他人竞争时，证书能使我们占据一定优势。

Certificates are very important for our future. After all, all we get from our major-related courses are just some basic theories which will not be enough for us to cope with the practical problems after graduation. During the preparation for the certificate, we can learn a lot of knowledge and skills.

证书对于我们的未来非常重要。毕竟，大学生在学校所学的专业课程仅仅是一些基本理论，这些知识对于处理实际问题是远远不够的。而在准备考证的过程中，我们便可以学到许多课堂上学不到知识和技能。

I think, no matter what kind of certificates, they all tell the employer that the owner is up-and-coming.

我认为，不管什么证书都能向招聘者证明其所有者是非常积极进取的。

Ability is more important than a certificate.

能力比证书更重要。

One's ability is the key element for us to find a good job. To some degree, certifites can stand for a certain kind of skill; however, it is not a necessity for every job. What's important for the employer is the ability to learn.

个人能力才是找到好工作的关键所在。从某种程度上说，证书确实能说明具有某一方面的技能，但并不是所有工作都需要证书。对于招聘者来说，个人学习能力才是重要考察方面。

As for me, pursuing a certificate is something terrible. It will cost us a lot of time, money and energy. What's more, nowadays, there are too many different kinds of certificates. Some are useful; some are worthless. Therefore, the value of certificates is doubted by the employers.

对于我来说，考证并不是一件好事。它会消耗我们大量的时间、金钱和精力。另外，现如今的证书种类繁多，鱼目混珠现象严重，因此，证书的含金量也大打折扣。

I think obtaining a series of different certificates shows the employer that the owner does not know about his likes and dislike, strength and weakness, which will do harm to job-seeking. While on the other hand, the potential(潜力) and abilities shown in the interview process do matter a lot.

我认为，频于考取各类证书会向招聘者暗示该人对于自身未来发展的盲目性，这反而不利于找工作。相反，在面试中所表现出的个人潜力和能力才是至关重要的。
