　　1.Morton Kaplan

　　Morton A. Kaplan (born May 9, 1921) was Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science, Emeritus, at the University of Chicago. He was also President of the Professors World Peace Academy International; and Editor of the World&I magazine, published by the Washington Times Corporation, from its founding in 1986 until 2004.He attended Temple University and Stanford University, and received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1951. He has held fellowships from the Center of International Studies at Princeton University and from the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences. He was also a Carnegie Traveling Fellow. Dr. Kaplan has published extensively in the areas international relations and international politics.

　　莫顿·卡普兰是国际系统模式的创始人之一。1921年生于费城，1943年在宾夕法尼亚州坦普尔大学获硕士学位，1951年在哥伦比亚大学获博士学位，1951-1956年间先后执教于俄亥俄大学、哈弗福德学院、布鲁克林学院任教。1956年其任芝加哥大学国际关系委员会主任，同时兼任全美政治学者学会理事，是国际政治科学协会和伦敦国际战略研究所的成员。卡普兰对国际关系学的贡献在于提出了“系统理论”。主要著作有：《国际政治的系统和过程》(1957)、《世界政治的革命》(1962)、《国际关系的新研究方法》(1968)、《孤立还是相互依存》(1975)、《实现国际关系理论的专业化——宏观分析》(1979)。在其代表作《国际政治的系统和过程》(1957)中，作者把系统理论这一新方法引入了国际关系研究之中，系统分析了各种国际体系的特征、结构和作用，提出了国际体系的六个模式，被称为“卡普兰六模式”。

　　Arnold Toynbee (23 August 1852 – 9 March 1883) was a British economic historian also noted for his social commitment and desire to improve the living conditions of the working classes.

　　阿诺尔德·汤因比(1852年8月28日-1883年3月9日)是英国19世纪的著名经济史学家，也是著名历史学家阿诺尔德·约瑟·汤因比的叔父。他是第一位将英国在18世纪因为工业技术改革，以致生产力大幅度提升的时期命名为“工业革命”的人。老汤因比在伦敦出生，曾任教牛津大学贝利奥尔学院。他爱研究社会改革，并与成年学生一同研究。现时伦敦一所大学宿舍“汤因比楼”就以他的名字命名。

　　3.Barry Buzan

　　Barry Gordon Buzan (born 28 April 1946) is Emeritus Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics and honorary professor at the University of Copenhagen and Jilin University. Until 2012 he was Montague Burton Professor of International Relations at the LSE. Buzan sketched the Regional Security Complex Theory and is therefore together with Ole Wæver a central figure of the Copenhagen School.

　　巴瑞·布赞是英国伦敦经济学院国际关系学教授，哥本哈根大学荣誉教授。在国际关系领域中著述颇丰，在各界活动相当活跃。他称自己的兴趣是：国际安全的概念和区域视角：国际历史，以及史前以来国际体系的演变;国际关系理论，特别是结构现实主义;国际社会和国际关系学中的英国学派方法。布赞在不列颠哥伦比亚大学取得本科学位(1968年)、伦敦经济学院取得博士学位(1973年)。自1988年到2002年，他担任哥本哈根和平研究所项目主任;1995年到2002年在威斯敏斯特大学大学任国际关系学研究教授，之前是华威大学的国际关系学教授。在1993年任日本国际大学访问教授，1997-98年在瑞典任 Olof Palme任访问教授。布赞曾是英国国际关系学会的主席(1988-90年)，(北美)国际关系学会副主席(1993-94年)，国际关系学协调理事会创立干事;从1999年成为国际关系学英国学派总召集人，从2004年起，他担任“欧洲国际关系学杂志”的编辑。在1998年，被选为英国学术院研究员，2001年还被选为社会科学学会联合院士。
