第八章 动词的非谓语形式 不定式作宾语

　　1.以不定式(短语)作宾语的时候极多，如：

　　He offered to help us.

　　他提出要帮我们的忙。

　　She can't afford to buy a computer.

　　她买不起电脑。

　　When did you begin to work there?

　　你什么时候开始在那里工作的?

　　They decided to drop the plan.

　　他们决定放弃这项计划。

　　We'll continue to support you.

　　我们将继续支持你。

　　She is learning to swim.

　　她在学游泳。

　　We love to listen to fairy tales.

　　我们喜欢听童话故事。

　　He promised to return in an hour.

　　他答应一小时后回来。

　　能跟不定式作宾语的动词常见的有：want, like, wish, hate, prefer, hope, continue, manage, try, ask, offer, start, forget, promise, mean, pretend, intend, begin, attempt, decide, learn, desire, agree, care, choose, determine, undertake, expect等。

　　2.有些动词(如tell, advise, show, teach, find out, discuss, learn, forget等)后面可跟一个带有连接副(代)词的不定式作宾语：

　　They will teach us how to type.

　　他们将教我们怎样打字。

　　She didn't know how to answer.

　　她不知如何回答是好。

　　He'll advise you what to do.

　　他会帮你出主意怎么办。

　　You must decide whether to go with them.

　　你必须决定是否要和他们一道去。

　　3.有时还可以用it作形式上的宾语，把不定式放到后面去：

　　She found it impossible to finish the work so soon.

　　她发现不可能这样快完成这项工作。

　　I don't think it necessary to do that.

　　我想这样做不必要。

　　He felt it his duty to point that act.

　　他感到有责任指出这一点。

　　We regard it as an honor to be invited.

　　我们认为被邀请很荣幸。

　　其他的一些不定式的例句：

　　I have long had it in mind to answer your letters.

　　我一直想给你回信。

　　She took it on herself to apologize for me.

　　她亲自出面替我道歉。
