第九章 动词句型 第四类句型―主语＋系动词＋表语(5)

　　英语中还有一种常见的句型，即主语十系动词+形容词+其他东西，共有下面几类：

　　1.主语+系动词+形容词+介词短语

　　We are short of fund.

　　我们缺乏资金。

　　She is fond of classical music.

　　她喜欢古典音乐。

　　They were pleased with his paintings.

　　他们很喜欢他的画。

　　I'm not equal to the job.

　　我不胜任这项工作。

　　You'll get used to it.

　　你会对此变得习惯起来。

　　She didn't feel capable of doing it.

　　她感到做不了这事。

　　He seemed delighted with the result.

　　他似乎对结果很满意。

　　She became very keen on photography.

　　她对摄影变得很有兴趣。

　　2.主语+系动词+形容词+不定式：

　　We're so glad to see you back.

　　看到你回来我们很高兴。

　　He was eager to visit us.

　　他很想来看望我们。

　　She's always ready to help others.

　　她总是乐于助人。

　　I'm inclined to agree with you.

　　我倾向于同意你的意见。

　　He's liable to catch cold.

　　他很容易感冒。

　　He seemed willing to consider the idea.

　　他似乎很愿意考虑这个意见。

　　3.主语+系动词+形容词+that引起的从句(that有时省略)：

　　I'm sorry I'm late.

　　对不起我来晚了。

　　She was afraid her mother wouldn't come back.

　　她害怕她妈妈不回来了。

　　I'm still hopeful that he will come.

　　我仍然希望他会来。

　　I was worried that you wouldn't find me.

　　我担心你会找不到我。

　　We were fearful she might harm herself.

　　我们害怕她会伤害自己。

　　4.主语+系动词+形容词+连接代(副)词或whether引起的从句：

　　I'm not sure where she lives.

　　我不肯定她住在哪里。

　　I'm quite clear what I ought to do.

　　我很清楚我该怎么办。

　　She wasn't aware how cold it was.

　　她不知道天有多冷。

　　I'm not certain whether they will come.

　　我不肯定他们是否要来。
