“jump out of your skin”

to movie violently because of a sudden shock

jump out of one's skin,

When I answered the door and saw my brother standing there, I almost jumped out of my skin. We hadn't heard from him since he went off to war ten years ago and we thought he was dead.

1. I'm quaking in my boots.

表达 quake in one's boots 或 shake in one's boots

2. I'm scared stiff.

3. It scared the living daylights out of me.

4. It made my hair stand on end.
