Signing Up

Worker : Hello, welcome to the gym.

Charlie : Hello. I am interested in signing up for a membership.

Worker : Great! Do you want sign up for this branch?

Worker：很好，你想报名这部门吗?

Charlie : Yes. I also work in the city so I want to know if I can also work out there with a single membership?

Worker : Yes you can. You can work out at any of our gyms in the city.

Terrance : Yes, I play tennis too sometimes. They have a lot of racquets and nice courts.

Charlie : Yea, let’s play tennis instead.

Joining Classes

Lucille : Hello, I would like to sign up for some fitness classes.

Worker : Great! What would you like to do? We have a lot of classes.

Lucille : I am not sure. What kind of classes do you have?

Worker : We have a lot of dance classes, yoga, light weight classes and pool cardio.

Lucille : I think I would like to join the pool cardio and a yoga class.

Gymnasium : A room or building equipped for gymnastics, games and other physical exercises.

Membership : The number or body of members in a group.

Cardio : Cardio exercise means any exercise that makes the heart beat faster than it normally does.

Jog : To jog means to run at a slow, steady pace, especially on a regular basis as a form of physical exercise.

Abs : It is a slang used to refer to the abdominal muscles.

Sit Ups : It is a physical exercise in which one uses the abdominal muscles to raise the torso to a sitting position and then lies back again without moving the legs.

Squats : To crouch or sit with knees bent and heels close to or touching the buttocks or the back of the thighs.

Stretch : To stretch means to cause to extend from one place to another or across a given space.

Workout : It is a session of vigorous physical exercise.

Indoor Court : A tennis court that is situated inside a house or building.

Discount : It is a deduction from the usual cost of something, typically given for advance payment or to a special category of buyers.

Pool Cardio : The cardio exercises that are possible to be done inside the pool.
