I like to recycle. It is quite refreshing to take items that have been thrown away and redeem them to usefulness. After I was made redundant from my job, I took it upon myself as a form of self-refinement and self-regeneration to redress and refute my idleness by engaging in recycling.

我喜欢搞循环利用这一行。把一些扔掉的东西重新捡回来，并让这些东西恢复性能是一件使人精神愉快的工作。失业以后，我采取了自我提高和自我重生的方式，纠正和驳斥了以前的那种无所事事的闲散生活，当了一名废品回收员。

A few days ago, I was roaming the streets in my pick-up truck looking for items that could be recycled when a flash of light caught my eye. It was the reflection in my mirror of the refraction of light from the sun hitting the surface of a refrigerator that someone had thrown out on the street. I put it in my pick-up truck and took it back to my garage, where many an abandoned item find refuge. The refrigerator could no longer refrigerate, so I checked the refrigeration unit and added some refrigerant. I plugged it in and it worked. I celebrated by having a few refreshments like a pot of tea, a box of cookies, a six-pack of beer, and a jar of kimchee. Afterwards, I put the leftovers in the refrigerator. It was wonderful that I was able to refurbish and regenerate what someone had thrown away.

几天前，我开着回收车在街上徘徊，寻觅一些可以被循环再利用的东西。突然，一道光线引起了我的注意。不知什么人扔了一台电冰箱在街上，阳光照在冰箱表面上，折射出的光芒继而映到了我汽车的后视镜里。我把这台冰箱捡到回收车里，再运回车库。事实上，我的车库已经成了很多被抛弃的东西的庇护所。这台冰箱已无法制冷了，所以我仔细检查了冷却系统，加了一些制冷剂。插上插头以后，冰箱就能重新工作了。我用了一些茶点以示庆祝，如一壶茶、一盒饼干、半打啤酒，以及一罐朝鲜泡菜。之后，我把吃剩的东西放入了冰箱。这太棒了，翻新一些别人扔掉的东西，使一些废品再生。

I have a recurring dream. That is that our present regime will reform and refine recycling policies to include refrigerators. Otherwise, the problem of old refrigerators lining our streets will recur again and again. This kind of reformism will be helpful to our society and make the members of our society more refined.

我有一个不断重复的梦。那就是希望我们现在的政权部门能改革和革新回收政策，以便包括对冰箱的回收利用。否则，街上成排的旧冰箱会不断重复出现。这种改良主义将会对我们的社会有所帮助，也会使我们社会成员的精神面貌更为高尚。
