快速区分：other,the other,others,the others, another

　　(1) 从特指与泛指来看，带有定冠词的 the other 和the others 表特指意义，不带定冠词的other和others表泛指意义。表示两者中的“另一个”时，要用the other。

　　(2) 从单数与复数来看，带有复数词尾的 others和 the others 表复数意义，不带复数词尾的 other 和 the other 可表单数意义也可表复数意义，主要看它所修饰或指代的名词是单数还是复数。

　　(3) another 只表示单数意义，意思是“另外一个”;若用于修饰复数名词，则复数名词前必须要有数词或few的修饰。

　　例1 To stay awake, he finished a cup of coffee and ordered _______.

　　解析：D。another 在此表示“另一杯”，相当于another cup of coffee。

　　例2 I’ll spend half of my holiday practicing English and _______ half learning drawing.
