Disney has announced its first-ever Jewish princess, to be voiced by actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, aka Meadow from “The Sopranos.”

迪斯尼宣布了它的第一个犹太公主，由女演员杰米·林恩·西格勒配音，也就是《黑道家族》中的梅多夫。

The character, whose name and image haven’t been announced yet, will guest star on the third season of “Elena of Avalor.” The hit children’s TV show is about a teenage royal princess and her adventures in monarchy.

这个角色的名字和形象还没有公布，将会客串《阿瓦洛的埃琳娜》第三季。这部热门儿童电视节目讲述了一位十几岁的王室公主和她在王室的冒险经历。

“I am so excited to voice Disney’s first Jewish princess,” Sigler tweeted.

西格勒在推特上说：“我很高兴能为迪斯尼的第一位犹太公主配音。”

Her episode will air in December and be Hanukkah-themed. Sigler’s princess will be visiting from a Latino Jewish kingdom, leading some to believe that the character is also intended to be Latina.

Twitter users are pondering if the character would be of Ashkenazi or Sephardicbackground — since Sigler is both. Many were excited at the prospect of a Disney Hanukkah special.

While Sigler will voice the first official Disney Jewish princess, one previous Disney character was also deemed by some to be Jewish royalty. Sarah Silverman made the case for Vanellope von Schweetz, the character she voiced in 2012’s “Wreck-It Ralph,” as being a member of the royal tribe.

The series’ third season premieres on Oct. 7 at 12:30 p.m. on the Disney Channel.
