被你忽视的the的隐藏用法
“the”这个冠词在英语中出现的频率高到你难以想象，因为它通常会加在名词前， 几乎是惯用搭配。The通常会加在普通名词前，比如the computer, the river之类的。但是也有些名词，比如专有名词，是不需要在前面加”the”的，比如国家名：Canada, Australia, 比如人名： Kelly, Henry。但是有的时候，”the”的用法确实有些神出鬼没。今天我们就来解锁下这个最不起眼的定冠词 ”the”的隐藏用法。
1. 大多数城市街道/道路/广场/公园/重要公共建筑和机构前，不需要加the
Fifth Avenue第五大道
Times Square时代广场
Broadway百老汇
Queens Road皇后大道
Harvard University哈佛大学
Manchester Airport曼彻斯特机场
2. 隐藏用法：即使含有专有名词的建筑，也要用the
Hotels the Sheraton Hotel, the Holiday Inn
