President Trump has met the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Mr. Trump said the two countries must take advantage of the current situation to achieve a more peaceful future for the region. He said he had seen many hopeful signs that this was possible. He also thanked Mr. Netanyahu for his commitment to the peace process between the Israelis and Palestinians. Earlier, Mr. Trump demanded Iran immediately cease supporting what he called terrorists and militias.

President Trump's former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn will refuse to give evidence to the Senate Intelligence Committee according reports. Mr. Flynn has been subpoenaed in connection with Moscow's possible involvement in last year's presidential election. But the reports say he will invoke the 5th Amendment right not to incriminate himself.
