WHERE IS IT?
Laurance- I haven't the remotest idea where it is! Have you looked upstairs?
Soony- Yes. And downstairs and in the basement. I've even looked in the car.
Laurance- Well, the last time I saw it, it was on the table in the living room.
Soony- Mother said she put it in the den, but it isn't there. At least, if it is, I can't see it.
Laurance- Did you ask Harry if he's seen it?
Soony- He said he didn't even know I had one.
Laurance- It seems that it will remain the mystery disappearance of the century!
Soony- Unfortunately, I really need it!

remote：极少的；模糊的
2）basement：地层的；地下室
3）den：私房；地下室
4）remain=continue to be;remain是系动词，其后的成分是句子的表语
