Shenzhen-china Passage is a cross-sea corridor connecting Shenzhen to Zhongshan, which is a cross-sea cluster project integrating "bridge, island, tunnel and underwater interworking". The project adopts the plan of East Tunnel and West bridge, the route starts from Shenzhen Airport, connects with the second phase of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Riverside Expressway, crosses the Pearl River Estuary to the west, lands on Saddle Island in Zhongshan, docks with the under construction Zhongkai Expressway, and lands in Shenzhen, Zhongshan and Guangzhou through connection lines. With a total length of 24 km, eight lanes in both directions and a design speed of 100 km/h, the project is currently the most difficult cross-sea cluster project in the world.

深中通道是连接深圳至中山的跨海通道，是集“桥、岛、隧、水下互通”于一体的跨海集群工程。项目采用东隧西桥方案，路线起于深圳机场互通，与广深沿江高速二期相接，向西跨越珠江口，在中山马鞍岛登陆，与在建中开高速对接，并通过连接线实现在深圳、中山及广州登陆。项目全长24公里，双向八车道，设计速度100公里/小时，是当前世界上综合建设难度最高的跨海集群工程。

The link consisting of one underwater tunnel, two bridges and two artificial islands will cut travel time between Shenzhen and Zhongshan in Guangdong Province from two hours to 30 minutes.
