Data from the London Stock Exchange shows that Turkish companies have saved about $2 billion on their energy bills in 2023 by increasing imports of relatively cheap Russian oil and refined products. Exports of crude oil from Russia's Urals, mainly to Europe and elsewhere, jumped to an all-time high of 400,000 barrels a day in November, accounting for about 14 percent of Russia's total seaborne oil exports last month, and the figure is expected to rise further in the coming months.
