China plans to launch test satellites for communication technology named Tiandu-1 and Tiandu-2, according to the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory on Feb. 4.
China plans to launch two test satellites into a lunar orbit to establish a communication between the Moon and the Earth.
The twin satellites will help to validate new technologies for navigation and signal transmissions.
It is reported that "Tiandu-1" and "Tiandu-2" two stars will enter the Earth-moon transfer orbit together with the Queqiao No. 2 lunar relay satellite, after which the two stars will perform near-moon braking and enter the large elliptical orbit around the moon, in the large elliptical orbit around the moon, using satellite-ground laser ranging, inter-satellite microwave ranging and other ways to carry out high-precision lunar orbit determination orbit technology verification." Chen Xiao, commander of the Sky navigation technology test star of the deep space exploration Laboratory, said that the two small and micro test satellites will provide a strong reference and basis for the subsequent establishment of the magqueqiao navigation remote integrated constellation system.
