make up for something 补偿，罚款

　　用别的东西补偿丢失的东西。make up for 后面接上丢掉的东西就可以了。另外，make it up to somebody 表示“因自己犯下的错误向对方表示真挚的道歉”。

　　是补偿逝去时间的时候了。

　　I'll make up for it tomorrow, okay? I promise.
