prefer A (名词，…ing) to B (名词，... ing) 喜欢A大于B

　　prefer A to B 则表示比起 B 更喜欢 A，A 和 B 可以都是名词或者是动名词 ...ing。需要注意的是，比较对象前面可不是 than，而是 to。

　　例句：

　　I think I prefer New York to other cities in America.

　　我觉得在美国，我最喜欢纽约了。

　　I prefer eating out in a restaurant to sitting around at home.

　　比起在家待着，我喜欢出去吃。

　　She prefers text messaging to leaving voice messages.

　　比起语音留言，她更喜欢发短信。

　　对话：
