let somebody off 放过某人，照顾某人，让某人出去

　　具有放开 ( off ) 含义，表示“放过某人”。let somebody off the hook 也是一样的意思。另外，物理上也可以理解为“释放……”。

　　例句：

　　I'm not going to give you a ticket. I'm going to let you off with a warning.

　　我不会给你开罚单，这次仅仅是警告。

　　My boss let me off early, so I took the plane.

　　我老板让我早早离开了，以便让我赶上飞机。

　　Let her off the plane!

　　让她下飞机。
