Scientists in Canada found one beer a day reduced the risk of cataracts– a major cause of blindness in old age.
Ales and stouts have the biggest benefit because they are packed with antioxidants4 that can protect cells within the eye.

They analysed eating habits of 2,000 people in Norway. Those on ten grammes a day scored best on tests for memory and attention span.

Too much caffeine is linked with heart problems and miscarriages.But coffee can also boost a woman’s sex drive, according to boffins at Southwestern University in the US.
They found caffeine stimulated the part of the brain that regulates arousal.
Experts say the good news is humans will only get this effect if they drink coffee every now and then. Otherwise, the brain becomes “immune” to its positive effects.
