塔拉纳基发生卡车和汽车相撞事故，一人死亡

One person has died after a crash between a truck and car in Taranaki this morning.

The crash happened at 10:00am, about 10km south of Hawera on State Highway 3.

Two ambulances and a helicopter attended the scene.

Police say one person died as a result of the crash and they say no one else was injured.

The road re-opened around 2:45pm with a reduced speed in place - motorists are advised to have patience and expect delays in the area, as traffic is backed up.
