Her golden-ribboned hair
With jeweled comb so fair,
She comes before the window to ask me with a smile:
“Are my eyebrows penciled in fashionable style?”
Leaning on me so long that I can’t write a line,
She wastes her time without tracing any design,
Only asking me how to spell these words:
“A pair of love-birds.”
