Incense in gold
香冷金猊，
Censer is cold;
被翻红浪，
I toss in bed,
起来慵自梳头。
Quilt like waves red.
任宝奁尘满，
Getting up idly, I won’t comb my hair;
日上帘钩。
My dressing table undusted, I leave it there.
生怕离怀别恨，
Now the sun seems to hang on the drapery’s hook.
多少事，
I fear the parting grief would make me sadder look.
欲说还休。
I’ve much to say, yet pause as soon as I begin.
新来瘦，
Recently I’ve grown thin,
非干病酒，
Not that I’m sick with wine,
不是悲秋。
Nor that for autumn sad I pine.
休休！这回去也，
Be done, be done!
千万遍阳关，
Once you are gone,
也则难留。
However many parting songs we sing anew,
念武陵人远，
We can’t keep you.
烟锁秦楼。
Far, far away you pass your days;
唯有楼前流水，
My bower here is drowned in haze.
应念我终日凝眸。
In front there is a running brook
凝眸处，
That could never forget my longing look.
从今又添，
From now on, where
一段新愁。
