《法惠寺横翠阁》是北宋诗人苏轼创作的一首杂言古诗。这是首典型的登临诗，与历来登临诗一样，分为二层，即登临所见、由登临而产生的感慨。诗无论是写景还是抒情，都波折多变，笔法灵活，用语清丽。同时，诗以五言写景，七言抒情，起首四句又杂以民歌体，活泼跳荡，用韵平仄交合，寓以变化。

朝见吴山横，暮见吴山纵。
吴山故多态，转侧为君容。
幽人起朱阁，空洞更无物。
惟有千步冈，东西作帘额。
春来故国归无期，人言悲秋春更悲。
已泛平湖思濯锦，更看横翠忆峨眉。
雕栏能得几时好，不独凭栏人易老。
百年兴废更堪哀，悬知草莽化池台。
游人寻我旧游处，但觅吴山横处来。

Mount Wu assumes one form at dawn,
Another form at dusk;
Endless variety it has,
Shifting to feast your eyes.
Here a recluse has built a red pavilion,
With nothing round it in the solitude
But mounds a thousand paces wide
As screens on east and west.
Spring comes but brings no home-coming for me;
Autumn is sad, they say; but spring is sadder.
On the lake I recall the Brocade-washing Stream;
And these green hills remind me of Emei.
How long will these painted railings last?
He is growing old, the man leaning over the railings.
Success for a space, then decline—the pity of it!
Soon weeds and brambles will cover this pavilion,
And travelers in search of my old haunts
Will simply find Mount Wu spread out before them.
