公元726年，4年期满后，王维结束了济州司仓参军的任职，启程归京，准备接受新的任命。 诗人走水路，船至广武城时，写下这首诗。

广武城边逢暮春，
汶阳归客泪沾巾。
落花寂寂啼山鸟，
杨柳青青渡水人。

Late Spring on the Si River

When spring begins to pass near Guangwu town,
It makes the wanderer's tears come soaking down—
O the silent flower-fall, the noisy mountain birds,
The crowded ferry, the willow's verdant crown!
