【罗马民间传说】Damon 和 Pythias 是好朋友。Pythias 出事被叙拉古国王迪奥尼修斯判处死刑，为了让他能回家探视亲人，Damon 留在狱中作人质。如果 Pythias 不按时返回，就处死 Damon.当期限满，临处刑之际，Pythias 及时赶回。国王被他们的信义感动，将两人全部释放。
