Feifei:  不知道大家有没有听出来？上面的这段话其实都是非常有名的电影对白。
 
Finn:  Yes, and why are we quoting films in today’s programme? Because we received a question about famous film lines from our listener Guo Jian. Listen to his story.
 
Feifei:  听友郭建给我们讲了一个故事，并且用了几个很好的词语，比方说  rang a bell 听起来很熟悉；还有单词 Martini 马爹利。

Once I was having dinner with a bunch of Brits. When Martini was served, one guy spoke a few words that rang a bell around the table, something like: “shaken but not stirred”. A girl next to me kindly explained to me that was from James Bond the royal agent, who always said that when asking for a drink. My question is this: are there any other phrases or text that have gained such popularity as ‘shaken but not stirred’ throughout English film lines? Thank you very much. 
Feifei:  郭建说他和几位英国朋友一起吃饭的时候，学到了shaken, but not stirred这个短语，意思就是要摇晃出来的，而不是搅出来的。这个非常有名的短语来自007邦德片，邦德喜欢他的马爹列酒是  shaken but not stirred. Do you know this line, Finn?
 
Finn:  Yes, I do! I think most people would know it actually, though the original line had no ‘but’ in it, it should be ‘shaken, not stirred’. I think this line appears in almost every Bond movie.
 
Feifei:  And isn’t there another from the Bond films? Something about his name?
 
Finn:  You’re right. Shall I do an impression?
 
Feifei:  你想试试给我们表演一下？ Go on then.
 
Finn:  OK. The name’s Bond, James Bond.
 
Feifei:  I’m impressed, Mr Bond.
 
Finn:  That’s enough from Mr Bond, I think. In today’s programme we’re looking at some popular lines from films which are now used in everyday conversation.
 
Feifei:  每天日常对话。 Everyday 在这里是一个词，被用为形容词。我们经常会看到 every 和 day 这两个词分开使用。 So which lines are used in everyday conversation, Finn?
 
Finn:  Well, as luck would have it, there was a survey done on this very topic in 2007. The website myfilms.com asked people for their favourite memorable film lines, and we’re going to tell you their top five.
 Feifei:  下面是五个经典电影对白。我们在街上随机采访了一些朋友，使我们惊讶的事儿是，我们只要需要说出电影名字，被采访的这些朋友们就会马上说出自这部电影的名句。 Ready?
 
Finn:  Here we go, in reverse order: number five.

Finn:  Yes, that line was spoken by Tom Hanks in the film Forrest Gump.
 
Feifei:  这句话是每个喜欢电影《阿甘正传》的人都能背出的片中扮演阿甘的汤姆.汉克斯说的一句话。一盒巧克力里会有很多不同味道但外表看起来差不多的巧克力，只有在你咬上去的那一瞬间才知道它的味道到底是什么。他也正是借此比喻生命中就是充满了这么多的想不到，不确定，其中的酸甜苦辣，只有自己尝了，才知道其滋味。

Finn:  Yes, “may the force be with you” is spoken by various characters in the Star Wars films.
 
Feifei:  星球大战 Star Wars.
 
Finn:  Yes, and here they’re talking about a special power that exists in the Star Wars world called force. Now you can use it kind of jokingly, to wish someone good luck.

Feifei:  另一个  science-fiction 电影《星际旅行》 Star Trek 里面的一句台词。这句台词来自影片里 Captain Kirk 给他同行的宇宙旅行者 Scotty 的一个命令。他让 Scotty beam him up, 意思就是用电波把他从地球传送回到宇宙飞船中。 Beam me up,Scotty 把我传送回去，思科提。
 
Finn:  Yes, beam me up Feifei. It’s interesting that many of these lines seem to come from action and science-fiction films.

Finn:  Now, number two, though, this is from an epic romance.

Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.
 
 
Feifei:  这句话听起来是不是更熟悉呢？对了，这是来自1939年壮烈的罗曼史 epic romance 电影《乱世佳人》 Gone with the Wind. 这句话来自于克拉克·盖博饰演的白瑞德 Rhett Butler 在影片结束时对费雯丽饰演的斯佳丽 Scarlet O’Hara 所说的一句经典对白。 
 
Finn:  He says it as he’s leaving and Scarlet wonders what she will do if he leaves.
 
Feifei:  他的回答是“坦率地说，亲爱的，我一点也不在乎”。短语 give a damn 不在乎在当时30年代听起来非常粗鲁，直到今天听起来也不是很礼貌，所以也是它被世人铭记的一个原因。

Finn:  阿诺·施瓦辛格? Right, very good. He said this line in the film The Terminator. But he said it a little bit more like this. Time for another impression, OK?
 
Feifei:  Yeah, go on. 
 
Finn:  I’ll be back. Now, you do it Feifei.
 
Feifei:  I’ll be back.
 
Finn:  Very good!
 
And that concludes our top five favourite film lines. As myfilms.com said, their research shows the huge influence films have on the way people speak.
