The word 'countrymen' describes people who come from the same country but what do you call people who live in the same city? In this week's programme we explain some of the words we can use.
Some are formal, such as city dwellers or urban dwellers and others are more informal, such as townies, urbanites or city slickers.

However, most people who reside in a city are given a nickname based on the name of where they live. So people from London are called Londoners.
