Thomas: Hello, dear. We all know the story. Virginal girl, pure and sweet, trapped in the body of a swan. She desires freedom that only true love can break the spell. 1. take a hint: 领会暗示。

2.menopause: 绝经期；（妇女的）更年期。男子更年期则是male menopause。

3. take position: 就位。

      妮娜（娜塔莉·波特曼饰演）是一名纽约的芭蕾演员，和她的母亲住在一起。她的母亲也曾是芭蕾舞者，对她施加着令人窒息的控制。自幼练习芭蕾舞的妮娜在母亲的细心关照下，技艺出众。在新一季的《天鹅湖》公演前，艺术总监决定换下首席舞者贝丝。这出剧要求女主演分饰两角，既能表现白天鹅的天真无邪，又要表现出黑天鹅的狡诈放荡。

      在选拔中，妮娜表演的白天鹅片段得到了总监的肯定，但是她表演的黑天鹅却不尽人意。妮娜找到总监，希望争取一下，但是总监却说她太注重细节，放不开，不能胜任。在谈话过程中妮娜还意外地被总监强吻，但是妮娜拒绝了他。本以为这个角色肯定与自己无缘，没想到总监居然选中了她。

      但是随之而来的，却是沉重的心理负担和种种压力。黑天鹅这一角色对妮娜而言依然是巨大的挑战，如何表现出黑天鹅的阴暗面和诱惑力，如何释放激情，这对长期以来习惯抑制感情的妮娜来说是个难题。与此同时，另一位芭蕾舞者莉莉（米拉·库妮丝饰演）却拥有黑天鹅的气质，她和妮娜正好相反，充满激情，无拘无束。莉莉的存在对妮娜来说是一种极大的威胁，在痛苦的焦灼中，妮娜的内心慢慢发生变化……
