　　stand up to sb.: 勇敢地和某人对抗。

　　gutless: 形容某人胆小，没有勇气，或在做某事时没有坚定的意志。

　　scary: 吓人的。

　　chicken: 口语中常用来形容某人胆小怕事，不敢做某事，就像小鸡见了人就要跑开一样。

　　wet rag: 原意是指破布。用来形容某人在面对某事的时候，没有一个坚定的立场，表现得太软弱。
