　　B: No. I know you will think I am a skinflint, but I only have a dollar to my name. I really can’t spare it. Sorry.

　　A: 嗨，我能借25美分打个电话吗?

　　B: 不行。我知道你一定认为我一毛不拔，但是我就只有一美元，真的没有办法分给你，对不起!

　　B: I am not sure. She’s a real tightwad. What money she does have she just squirrels away in her house and never spends it or uses it for anything.

　　B: 不知道。她是个十足的守财奴。她有钱也只是把它藏在家里，从来不花。
